Background

1.Bajaj Auto has recently launched one of its kind offerings in the fiercely competitive premium bike segment– the most powerful and much-awaited bike Dominar 400. It is in the cruise bike segment with no compromise on power and efficiency. To be first in this segment, Bajaj is offering booking & test rides through an online portal and deliveries through the strong dealership network of 80 dealers.
2.As a consumer-centric agile organization with ambitious business objectives, Bajaj Auto is looking to quickly capture Market share in the highly competitive premium bike segment.
3.Keeping the seamless customer experience and customer focus in mind, a user-friendly website was developed to facilitate Dominar 400 bookings.
4.The customer-facing system was ready for the business. But to ensure a smooth front end, the back end system had to be ready in all respect
5.There was a need to integrate the website with the Centralized Dealer Management system to ensure customer booking visibility at the dealer’s end, improved internal collaboration, and custom workflows. With few days time left until launch, this was a herculean task to be executed for Bajaj Auto.

Solution

1.Excellon Software, in collaboration with the Bajaj Auto B2B team, did an unbelievably quick turnaround within a short span of few days to effectively integrate the Dealership Management system with the Website. The team has worked round the clock relentlessly to ensure that the back-end support for Dominar 400 is up and running before its launch.
2.Excellon Software team has proven its understanding of Bajaj’s business ecosystem and its own capability to deliver simple and effective solutions time and again.
3.Integration of CDMS with the website meant all the bookings would be streamlined. The bookings done on the website would reflect on the system of the closest dealership from the location where it was booked.
4.Once the down payment is made, the dealer gets the payment confirmation, and a booking ID is created, and dispatch of vehicles is initiated from the Manufacturer’s location.
Mr. Vardarajan, Head of CDMS initiative at Bajaj Auto, said, “Excellon Software got this first time right; this goes on to show how deeply Excellon Software gets involved in their work. The maturity and ease with which this project was handled and the enthusiasm displayed by the team was commendable. This was very well- received by the Management, and everyone was thrilled that this entire synchronization could happen in a span of just a few days.”
